A comment on the film ... I was amazed at the amount of yaw deviation .. particularly during the MaxQ time range. Lot's of roll commands. You can see the initial roll maneuver right off the pad overshot and the deadband brought it back.

The shadow of the smoke trail is fascinating, as is the rates of tumbling before the chutes pop ... if I were looking at correcting the rates in an airplane in trouble I might be able to do it, but I hope I am 60,000 too so I have a little time.
