NOTHING is more sad than a silenced blog... He may have had some interesting perspectives on diverse topics but just look at the pictures he had been taking... the flowers... just BEAUTIFUL! Can someone tell me, was his profile photo really him, or more of his quirky style?
Just stunned, we visited the Japanese Garden Saturday and he took some nice pix One of the few people I could be my real aging hippie, liberal self with. So long my friend---you will be missed. Lorrie
Wow, life is strange isnt it? Never met the guy, but I'm sure he was great, given the fact that he and I shared a disdain for vdj. Your wit and humor will be missed John!
Been surprised how much I've missed John. Didn't realize how much I had valued his friendship and camaraderie over the past 10 years or so.
Earlier this week, a friend emailed me a photo called "Full Moon." Was it a beautiful pix that would have appealed to the phogtographer in John?
No---it was a shot of a pilot who had dropped trou and was sticking his big bare butt in the front window of the cockpit. My first thought was "gotta forward this to John".....oh, well.
He would have ROFL'd---for all I know, he most likely pulled a similar stunt when he was flying. In fact, the photo and plane looked older-----could it have been him? lol---
You're missed John. And if his brother should stop by, hope your Mom is getting along OK. Lorrie

That's odd... you typed exactly the same argument the Repubs use over at FreeRepublic.
Oh, and John... looks like you have a new City Councilman. You know, that "government-hating Libbyloony". Smirk.

A little more than two months have passed since John Stone died. I still miss him every day.
Stoner, you're missing a helluva weird time here.
Hey John,
Just thinking about you. Just finished looking at your brother's gift. Your last beer went to the town drunk - just like you'd want it.
