The Botched Hanging of Saddam

As in everything that this administration touches, the gold, brags from the WH, and the self congratulatory, "We got him", has turned to dust.

Read the entire thing HERE ...

So this is the grand and noble achievement which the President and his band of bloodthirsty followers are reduced to celebrating -- a lawless, thugish hanging, carried out in clear and deliberate violation of the law, by a bunch of homicidal street thugs and militia foot soldiers who themselves will be included among our next kill targets once our glorious "sustained surge" begins.

No matter what we touch in Iraq, no matter what we do, it only makes things worse -- never better -- because the root of what we are doing is itself so rotted and incoherent and corrupt. It's beyond doubt that we're going to be treated to much more "freedom" and "justice" like this over the next two years in Iraq, at least.

Did anyone believe that the ending would be anything else.

What did you expect after a show trial?

Besides neither the "Iraqi Government" or the Bush White House really believe in the rule of law.

If they did they would conduct themselves differently.

It would be acceptable if it were "the end". But unfortunately, it is not even the beginning of the end.

More of everyone's blood will be shed ... more treasure wasted ... until finally, exhaustion sets in.

All for what? This was so botched and gruesome that even the net won't touch it ... and Saddam played it to the end, refusing the hood, insuring that the videos will never be seen.

And yet, sawing off the heads of innocent westerners is perfectly okay for web viewing.

The net has "touched" the hanging video. It's everywhere.
