BIG Boogers Meet-Up
Remember tomorrow night at the Patton Alley Pub, it's going to be one of the most interesting meetings yet.
It's all the brainchild of Andy, at Rhetorica, who thought to do live blogging during the election returns. Bring your laptop with a wireless connection.
I probably won't have anything up here until it's over, but Rhetorica, FatJack, CHATTER, and Minutia certainly will and probably several others.
All species will be there. Cons and Libs, and may even a real Lib-guy that everyone can pick on. Tony is going to be there so I can give him a swift kick for opposing Prop 2. And Tony, the editorial page editor, will have tons of resources and be blogging from the pub too -- a first that I have ever heard of anywhere. (More fun that sitting in that crappy little office, or hanging around the clerk's office lying to the other news-types, eh?, Tony. Plus the refreshments are better than in the courthouse.)
Bring lotta' money for double chocolates, and remember, our usual waitress (according to an article) is rich so she doesn't need any tips. (Which explains why I stiffed her last meeting and have to make it up). And least I didn't make her pay for my goodies like Zack did.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug 2 , is the bimonthy meet-up of the SGF bloggers at the Patton Alley Pub. (Patton runs into the downtown bus turnaround on the square --- 1/2 block south) If you don't come .. we will talk about you .. and Andy at Rhetorica will podcast it ... so you had better show up. It's great fun, with all sorts of different thoughts and people. Bring lots of money to buy me a beer. Minutia-guy ... I am still waiting for my check....
At the Patton Alley Pub at 7'ish. After the January washout thanks to holidays, no classes and ice storms ... there is a full keg of Double Chocolate and minds teeming with bad jokes.

Since it is the third Tuesday of the month, that stange assortment of characters known as the SGF Boogers will get together at the Patton Alley Pub at 7 for refreshments, bad jokes, podcasts, girl-oogling, and fistfights.
Tonight at the Patton Alley Pub. Andy is out of town so if you want to hear the gossip, and there should be some really juicy gossip tonight, ya' gotta' be there or you are nowhere.Maybe even Jabba the Hun will show up. It's a good place to hide out from the county deputy dawgs with "show cause" warrants.
Don't forget ... Patton Alley Pub at 7-ish.... Bring your most disgusting WalMart story to pass along to the CHATTERismist-guy. Andy at Rhetorica needs all the emails of the SGF blogging folks. If you didn't get an email from him today he doesn't have yours -- pass it along.
Don't forget to show up at the Patton Alley Pub at 7 on Tuesday. Everyone who is anyone will be there. There is a special theme for the meet. Either dress up as your favorite character from CATS, or since VD(J) may show up, a dyke (your sex doesn't matter on this one - your costume does -- I suggest renting a copy of The Rocky Horror Picture Show for ideas).
DON'T FORGET !!! Tonight is the full moon meeting of the SGF bloggers at the Patton Alley Pub at 7 ... Be there .. or be square ... Be sure to pick on the Lib guy ... Remember the motto: Drink. Then adjourn.
Another boogers meeting and another fun night. Fat Jack was there, wearing his mall uniform. (OK - look on my flickr page sometime today to get that one.) Larry, 417pundit's favorite blogger was there. The Marmont was snarling away at her very best. Half the newsroom of the Leader and Press showed up and we finally got mugged by Tony, since we managed to embarrass him about hosing us the last time he came. And of course the Lib-guy made it with the specific purpose of reminding me that I know Tom Knapp. How annoying. Amy, (that's the blond one), Mike Brothers, Entertainment Editor for the paper, Tony Messenger, editorial page editor, and I didn't catch the name of the lady next to Amy but she seemed nice enough, if a little old and scrawny for my tastes. Maybe 417 will show up and we can have some real fun. And I think I can let the cat out of the bag. There has been thought of going to twice a month meet-ups. For those who have never come, come once and you will discover why. So I think we are going to give a try for Tuesday, Aug 1st. AND ... there may be a very special out-of-town guest there. He won't give me an iron clad promise, but if he doesn't I am going to turn him over to VD(J) to be assulted and battered .... after Granny Geek gets thru with him. Stay tuned. See ya' on the blog.
Tonight is the night for a little lunar madness at the Patton Alley Pub about 7. Andy will be there to do his podcast. John will be there to tell Andy the grossest story he could find on the net right in the middle of the meal. That CHATTERismist guy will be there just to create trouble. The Marmot says she will miss it -- but the least she could do is send her parental unit as a replacement so John could drool into his double chocolate.
Everyone is invited -- even VD(J) -- and it is a lot of fun.
